The 37th Annual La Luz Trail Run was held on August 4th, 2002 starting at 7AM Sharp.

Here are some of the "messages" that I have received from participants that competed in the 2002 La Luz Trail Run:
"Thanks for putting on a great race. I enjoyed 'bringing up the rear'. Hope I can make it again next year".

I know how difficult it is to prepare for an event like this, and I hope you and all the volunteers understand how much those of us who participate in the event appreciate your effort. I've done all kinds of events around the country, and none are run any better than La Luz. Given the conditions under which the race is held and the volunteers must work, you all do an extraordinary job."
