La Luz 2002 Emails

Here are some of the "messages" that I have received from participants that competed in the 2002 La Luz Trail Run:

"Thanks for putting on a great race. I enjoyed 'bringing up the rear'. Hope I can make it again next year".

"I did enjoy La Luz and it was very well organized as usual".

"My husband and I did the La Luz run for the first time last weekend. What a wonderful race! It was incredibly well-organized- -and what work to set up water stations where you did! Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed it. Now we know why it fills up so fast!"

"Thank you - - - p. s. The race was so well conducted....and the La Luz Shirt was "Super". Thanks so much to you all.....I am already looking forward to La Luz 2003".

"I ran La Luz yesterday & wanted to thank you for a well-organized race. Plenty of water & motivation along the course, & I like being able to put clothes or extra water or extra food in our race bags on race day morning & they're up at the top waiting for us - I even got the t-shirt size that I requested!"

"Thanks for great organization and a runner-friendly race. Kudos to all those who staffed the aid stations, and an extra pat on the back to the Fabulous Fred Abramowitz for the most spirited station of all." Fred adds: "Thanks, buddy... I tried to get that aid station fired up and the folks there were a pleasure to meet and cheer with. And you did a fabulous job of organizing the whole puppy..."

"Nice year. Great weather. About 10 minutes faster than my best time."

"You've probably heard this a thousand times, but you and all the volunteers do a great job with La Luz. I know how difficult it is to prepare for an event like this, and I hope you and all the volunteers understand how much those of us who participate in the event appreciate your effort. I've done all kinds of events around the country, and none are run any better than La Luz. Given the conditions under which the race is held and the volunteers must work, you all do an extraordinary job."

"Thanks for such a well organized race! That was really fun! Little high elevation for a sea level dweller but a blast all the same. The volunteers were great. The scenery was spectacular. The trail was fun."

And a comment from Marc Scudamore: "...and its only the giving that makes you what are" - Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull

Thanks to everyone that helped to make this a great race - Rodger
